Polar Bear Plunge

Join us for the Polar Bear Plunge on Thursday, January 1, 2026. This annual fundraising event takes place at Wainscott Beach in Wainscott.  Register online and arrive at the beach by 2:00 p.m. to check in. The countdown to the Plunge begins at 2:30 p.m.

The minimum tax-deductible donation is $35, but all donations are appreciated, whether you plunge or not! All who donate $35 or more will receive a 2026 Polar Bear beanie on the day of the event.

This will be the 27th year that Colin Mather of the Seafood Shop has sponsored the event and the sixth year that the plunge proceeds will benefit the Pantry. Coffee and hot chocolate will be provided for all. Bring your friends and family to cheer you on!

We highly recommend pre-registering due to the number of participants who join us each year. Spotty WIFI at the beach makes credit card payment difficult.

Cash payment is appreciated on the day of the event.

Annual Toy Drive

Thank you to all who donated to the toy collection at the Lions Club tree sale. On December 16, dozens of toys were distributed to our Pantry families with lots of smiles all around.

We'd also like to thank Megan Chiarello, North Haven Village Hall, Jonathon Glynn, the Wharf Shop and the Sag Harbor Ladies Golf Association for their generous donations.

You all made our toy distribution a big success!

Page at 63 Main

Each year, Page at 63 Main holds a cookie decorating event for children, with all proceeds going to the Pantry. Page also sells a stylish Tote Bag, from which a portion of their proceeds benefits the Pantry. We are ever grateful to our generous friends at Page!

Scouts & Food

Host a Food Drive

Organizing a food drive is an effective way to unite your team while making a difference. Whether you’re a small business, community group, or a larger organization, your support will help us stock our shelves, expand our reach, and ensure that no neighbor in our town goes without.

We invite our local businesses, churches and organizations to hold a food drive to help us meet the increasing needs of our neighbors, especially during the busy winter months when demand at the Pantry is highest.

We make it easy to get started! Send an email to: [email protected]
to discuss how your food drive can have the greatest impact.

HarborFest

Every September, the Pantry hosts a booth on Long Wharf for HarborFest, where we sell raffles, accept donations, and provide games for children. Come look for us!
