"The original Polar Bears of The Hamptons!" Plunge time is 2:30pm on January 1st, 2025 at the end of Beach Lane, in Wainscott (arrive early for parking). The participation fee is $25. All participants will receive an official Wainscott Polar Bear Plunge winter beanie and hot chocolate after the plunge. The Seafood Shop will also be offering hot soup to all participants, at The Seafood Shop, after the swim.

———>> In order to receive your official Wainscott Polar Bear Plunge beanie at the beach you must present one of the the following:

• Your printed receipt to present to our friendly volunteers at the beach.

• Proof of ID to match your name with our list of donor names that our volunteers will have at the beach.

Before the plunge, all registered plungers will receive an email with a liability waiver attached. If you are over 18 years of age please sign and print your name on the waiver and bring it to the plunge, along with your registration receipt. If you are under 18 years of age, please sign and print your name, as well as  have your parent or legal guardian print and sign their names, on the waiver and bring it, along with your registration receipt, to the beach.

There will also be waivers at the beach to sign.
